Training

Training for finance and operations teams.

Instructor-led training on governed workflows: how to take recurring finance and operations work, structure it, test it, and keep it under control as the tools change. Delivered in Calgary and online by EPM ONE Consulting Ltd., a training provider since 2016.

Eligible Alberta employers can claim 50% of the cost through the Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant; EPM ONE handles the provider side. The courses are developed with 1113 Technologies, and full course pages live at 1113tech.com/training.

The courses

The courses, with the grant-ready outline for each.

  • Course 1 · Half day · 2.5 hours · up to 20 · $4,500 ($450 per participant on the quote)

    The Governed Workflow

Everyone runs one of their own recurring processes through the pattern and leaves with the card to run it again. The manager who booked the course leaves with a ranked list of the team's recurring processes and the two to start with.

  • Course 2 · Half day · 2.5 hours · up to 8 · $5,500 ($1,100 per participant on the quote)

    Build a Governed Agent

Take one of the processes the team chose and make it run without a person starting it: a connection instead of an upload, rules as code, an approval gate, a log, and a schedule.

  • Course 3 · Briefing · 2 hours · up to 12 · $5,000 ($625 per participant on the quote)

AI for the Finance Leadership Team

Bolt-on or structural. What happens to the ERP and the reporting stack. Buy, build, or both. The control model that answers the auditor. The 90-day plan.

Executive and owner seats are generally not claimable under the Alberta grant. Directors and managers below that level usually are.

  • Course 4 · Full day · 6 hours · up to 8 · $12,500 ($2,500 per participant on the quote)

    Claude Code for Finance Systems

The advanced day for the team that runs the finance platform. Two governed agents running by the end, and a conventions repo the team owns, so it keeps going without us.

Technical training category. Claimable for eligible employees of eligible Alberta employers through the same delivering provider.

Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant

How a grant engagement runs.

  1. 01Your organization applies on the Alberta portal before the course, with the outline below attached. Each trainee confirms by email. Training can start once the status reads Application Received.
  2. 02EPM ONE Consulting Ltd. delivers and invoices the course. You pay in full; a 50% deposit holds the date.
  3. 03Within 30 days of the course you file the completion form. We send the certificates by name, the paid invoice, and the completion letter the next morning.
  4. 04Alberta reimburses 50% of eligible costs, up to $5,000 per trainee per fiscal year and $100,000 per employer.

Eligible employers are for-profit businesses, non-profits, and First Nations and Métis Settlements operating in Alberta for at least a year. Governments, publicly funded organizations, public post-secondaries, and holding companies are not eligible. Owners, board members, C-suite, office and HR managers, contractors, and the owner’s immediate family cannot be claimed as trainees. Approval and funding are Alberta’s decision. Your organization submits trainee details, including SIN and date of birth, to the portal directly; we never hold them. Program rules: alberta.ca, or call 1-855-638-9424.
