Services / Financial Reporting to Reports
Your Financial Reporting reports, running in Reports before February 2027.
Oracle removes Financial Reporting (FR) from Oracle Cloud EPM in the February 2027 update, 27.02. Reports, books, and batches still in Financial Reporting need to be in Reports before then. Oracle’s migration converts most report designs; books, batches, snapshot reports, and charts have to be rebuilt.
We have made this move for many clients. We can do it for you at a fixed price, or give your team the plan to do it themselves.

Is this where you are?
- The board package or monthly management pack is a Financial Reporting book.
- Scheduled batches send reports to managers at month-end.
- The repository holds hundreds of reports, and it isn't clear which are still in use.
- Finance users open Financial Reporting reports in Smart View, or keep Excel workbooks built from them.
- Snapshot reports from prior years are kept for audit or reference.
- A trial migration was run, and the results need work before anyone relies on them.
- February falls in year-end close or budget season, when the team has the least time to spare.
What Oracle’s migration converts
- Report grids, text boxes, and images.
- All reports at once, one report at a time, or report files exported from the repository.
- Most report designs come across. Some formatting and features need adjusting afterwards, and every migrated report should be checked against the original.
What has to be rebuilt or saved
Books
Reports books are built differently from Financial Reporting books and are created again in Reports.
Batches and scheduled batches
Replaced by bursting definitions in Reports, scheduled through the Cloud EPM Job Scheduler.
Snapshot reports
Can't be migrated. Save the ones you need to keep as PDF before the removal.
Charts
Rebuilt in Reports, because the Financial Reporting chart object doesn't carry the chart definition.
Excel workbooks
Workbooks holding fully formatted Financial Reporting reports can't be refreshed from Reports. Migrate the report, then bring it into Excel again from Reports.

What your team can do this week
- Count what's in the repository: reports, books, batches, and snapshot reports.
- Ask report owners which reports went to whom last quarter. Anything unclaimed is a candidate to retire, and every retired report is one fewer to move.
- Save the snapshot reports you need to keep as PDF.
- Agree on report standards in Reports before rebuilding books: styles, folders, and security.
- Migrate in Test first, and compare each migrated report with the Financial Reporting original for the same period.
- Plan the cutover around your close and budget calendar, so users switch once.
Three ways to work with us
Free snapshot review
With your agreement, we review a snapshot of your environment: the reports, books, batches, and snapshot reports, and how they're used. You receive a plan and a fixed price. There's no cost and no commitment.
We move it for you
We migrate the reports you keep, rebuild books and bursting, check the numbers against Financial Reporting, and hand over a working set your users switch to once. Fixed price, set by the number of reports.
A roadmap your team follows
For teams that would rather do the work themselves: the inventory, the standards, the order to rebuild in, worked examples for books and bursting, and working sessions with your team. One fixed price.
What you receive
- Every report you keep, running in Reports with numbers that match Financial Reporting for the same period.
- Books and bursting rebuilt, scheduled, and delivering to the same people as before.
- A short list of what was retired, and why, signed off by the report owners.
- Report standards your team can follow for every new report.
- A walkthrough with your administrators, so the reports are yours to maintain.
Price
Fixed price set by the number of reports
The snapshot review is free and tells you which tier you’re in. Moving the reports is priced by the number you keep; the roadmap is one fixed price. You know the price before any work begins. Book a call to start with the snapshot review.
Questions
- When is Financial Reporting removed from Oracle Cloud EPM?
- In the February 2027 update, 27.02. On Oracle's usual schedule, monthly updates reach Test environments on the first Friday of the month and Production on the third Friday, which puts the removal on February 5, 2027 in Test and February 19, 2027 in Production. Oracle first announced that Reports would replace Financial Reporting in November 2022.
- Which Oracle Cloud EPM business processes are affected?
- Every business process where Financial Reporting is in use, including Planning, Financial Consolidation and Close, and Tax Reporting.
- Does Oracle migrate Financial Reporting reports to Reports automatically?
- Partly. Oracle provides a migration that converts report grids, text boxes, and images, for all reports or one at a time. Books, batches, scheduled batches, snapshot reports, and charts aren't migrated and have to be rebuilt or saved separately. Migrated reports should be checked against the originals, because some features and formatting need adjusting.
- What happens to our books and scheduled batches?
- They're created again in Reports. Books become Reports books, and batches become bursting definitions scheduled through the Cloud EPM Job Scheduler.
- What about snapshot reports kept for audit?
- Snapshot reports can't be migrated. Save the ones you need to keep as PDF before the removal.
- Can our own team do the migration?
- Yes. The roadmap option gives your team the inventory, the standards, the rebuild order, worked examples, and working sessions, at one fixed price.
- How much does it cost?
- The snapshot review is free. Moving the reports is a fixed price set by the number of reports you keep, and the roadmap is one fixed price. You know the price before any work begins.
